As consumers we purchase on a regular basis and expect such products not only to comply with an Australian Standards but also to be safe. Unfortunately this is not always the case and injury sometimes result because of a defect in a product.

PHARMACEUTICAL LIABILITY

Pharmaceutical products have side effects which range from mild to severe. Unfortunately some side effects are unknown at the time that the medical is prescribed. An example of this is the drug thalidomide which was originally prescribed as a sedative and for morning sickness but was found to have significant side effects in unborn children.
